THE BARASTOC INTERSTATE SERIES

The inaugural Barastoc Interstate Series was held at Morgan Park, Warwick in south east Queensland on 22nd, 23rd, & 24th August 2008.

The Warwick Club believed there was a need for more interstate competition and so offered to host the event in conjunction with their 'Rose Bowl' Club Championships in 2008. They were delighted when Barastoc accepted their invitation to be the major sponsor of the Series.

Queensland and New South Wales teams competed in Men's, Women's, Intermediate mixed, Juniors and Masters Over 50 competition. Victoria teams competed in the Open Men’s competition on horses loaned to them by Queensland players. Competition commenced on Friday afternoon and included night games played under lights, always a wonderful spectacle.

It is planned that this will be an annual competition between Queensland, New South Wales & Victoria, with teams also invited from Western Australia and
New Zealand in years to come.

Due to the Running of the National Titles at Morgan Park The Barastoc Series has been cancelled for 2012
