The Queensland Polocrosse State Championships is one of the QPA's most exciting events. The entire seasons play is capped off on the first weekend of September, with hard fast and furious competition and a battle to be crowned the State Champions. The Queensland State Championships is held annually between clubs from throughout Queensland, and includes all levels of skill and ability, from Open A-Grade right through to the Junior competition. Occasionally some inter-state clubs also compete for the hotly contested status of being named "champions".
The competition has consistently drawn 80+ teams to the event, with the Chinchilla Polocorsse Club holding the record at 98 teams at the 1998 event. Each year at the QPA's Annual General Meeting, nominations are called for and a vote is cast to decide which club will have the next privlidge of hosting this event. In 2012 the Cunningham Polocrosse Club was named at the host for this years competition.
