The following information has been approved for distribution by the State President (April 2011)
It appears that there is some misunderstanding regarding Family discount / membership and the boundaries as to whom a "family membership" is applicable
At the QPA Executive meeting (14/4/2011) the committee was made aware of some anomalies regarding the calculations of family discounts and have asked that the following statement be released immediately.
Clubs need to be aware, any future incorrect family discount entitlements submitted on the player registration forms, will be returned directly to the Club in question for the appropriate action to be taken.
The 10% Family discount is applicable under the following long standing guidelines:
1) Can be of various combinations of 3 or more FULL PAYING members of the one IMMEDIATE family.
2) The fees must be paid at the same time
3) Can not claim discount for members outside the IMMEDIATE FAMILY
4) All must reside under the same roof
5) IMMEDIATE FAMILY constitutes any of the following: Spouse, parent, sibling, or child. The family one is born into.
6) There is NO DISCOUNT on Mini Juniors or 1st year players. These are already heavily discounted.

are retained by the club. ALL Social Members details MUST be sent through to the QPA on a Registration Form.
NEW BY-LAW (effective 2010): Any Club found playing unregistered players will be stood down until after the next tornament in their Zone, or penalized $500.
