          2007 World Cup Horses - Horse Preparation
 

Feed The following feed rations will be fed to the World Cup horses during the event. Any prospective World Cup horse could be fed this diet  during preparation.

Base Feed (AM/PM)
  • Barastoc Furlong (Complete, high energy muesli feed for performance)
  • White Chaff  
  • Lucerne Chaff
  • Electromix
  • Livamol

Cool Feed (AM/PM)

  • Barastoc Cool Command High energy oat free muesli for performance)
  • White Chaff

Special Feed (AM/PM)

  • Barastoc Endurance 1-3kg/Feed (Specialized concentrate for horses in need of stamina that are at risk of tying up)
  • White Chaff
  • Lucerne Chaff

  • Neutra-Syrup
  • Snow-E
  • Electromix [Electolyte Supplement for horses in heavy work]
  • Horsport [Rehydration & Recovery]

Preparation World Cup pool horses have the option to participate in the following competitions within the region:

  • Cunningham Club Carnival - 14/15 April 2007
  • Guyra Club Carnival - 14/15 April 2007

Media Facts: Over two weeks of prepartion/competition the 200 World Cup horses will consume 26 tons of high performance stock feed being 40% (Barastoc Furlong, Cool Command and Endurance) plus 45% chaff and 15% hay. They will also drink a total of 126,000 litres of water, which equates roughly to the volume contained in two Olympic swimming pools.
