          Marketing

There are three core organisational objectives for the Ridley Polocrosse World Cup 2007:

  1. Increase participation and attendance
  2. Develop the sport and its profile
  3. Deliver greater economic benefit to Warwick and Queensland

As in 2003, to help achieve our objectives, a multi-media marketing campaign will be undertaken, with the 2007 Cup marketing unit working closely with strong media partners (more information).

  • Sponsorship marketing campaign began September 2005
  • Consumer marketing began on 1 May 2006.

In 2003 our pro-active PR campaign delivered in excess of $A1 million in editorial publicity. In addition to coverage by our media partners, matchplay was broadcast via internet streaming. All four free to air TV networks attended the 2003 World Cup and carried news/sports stories on the event. This is expected to be repeated in 2007 given the fact that Australia is the current Cup holder after a classic trans-Tasman final.
