Preparations

With one official polocrosse club active in Canada, players and the sport of Polocrosse have received on-going support and training from the international Polocrosse community since Canada's participation in the 2003 World Cup.

Various players/coaches specifically from Australia have travelled to visit the club in Calgary, AB. Canada.  These visitors have shared their years of experience, enthusiasm and helpful advice on improving and growing the sport of Polocrosse in Canada. Notably the past two seasons the Canadians have had the help of Australia's Bruce Greenslade, providing the guidance required to improve and elevate the game in Canada.

Although not considered squad test matches, Canadian squad tours have recently included competition with players from Washington and Wyoming (USA) plus a visiting group from Australia. In July 2006 Canadian players successfully competed in a sanctioned USA tournament. Most significant competition preparations occurred at the annual Stampede Classic tournament with teams from USA and Australia.

In March 2006, Canadian players toured South Africa where the visitors learned a great deal thanks to the greater playing experience and generous coaching provided on and off the field by both host players and officials.
