In mid 2006 the United Kingdom Polocrosse Association announced its squad for the 2007 World Cup Team.  The official eight member travelling team was subsequently announced in September 2006, giving the team the European winter months to prepare.

Preparations

As part of their ongoing development of the sport and international prepartions for the 2007 World Cup:

  • Since the 2003 World Cup the UKPA has hosted tours from Ireland, South Africa and Zimbabwe and have sent tours to Ireland and the USA.
  • The UK Under 21s participated in a four test series in Queensland, Australia in June/July 2006.
The United Kingdom Polocrosse Association (UKPA) was formed in 1984. There are currently 18 clubs with approximately 600 members and the sport is growing. The UKPA's focus in recent years has been on improving player and coaching skills in preparation for the 2007 World Cup. See their website - click here.
