In June 2006 the American Polocrosse Association announced its 16 member squad for the 2007 World Cup Team. The official eight member travelling team was confirmed in November 2006.

Preparations As part of the development of the sport in the USA these tours have been undertaken:
- The US Under 16 squad participated in competition in Australia in June/July 2006.
- The US Men toured Ireland in June 2006 which followed a recriprocal Irish Womens tour to the USA in May 2006.

The American Polocrosse Association (APA) was created in 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona. It has helped Polocrosse clubs become organised from coast to coast and today there are almost 30 clubs across four zones.
