Preparations

Earlier in 2006 Zimbabwe toured against South Africa with men's and ladies A and B sides and Polocrosse South Africa is currently considering a reciprocal tour to Zimbabwe later in 2006 as a further preparation for its 2007 World Cup campaign.

Polocrosse was introduced into the then Rhodesia in 1948 by Dr H. M. Strover who had read about the sport in a magazine on a visit to England.

It is a great tribute to the polocrosse fraternity of Zimbabwe that despite many challenges, 110 active players remain commited to the sport. To learn more about the Polocrosse Association of Zimbabwe click here.
