          Daily Programme

The overall programme includes:

  • calendar of activities in the weeks preceding Cup Week, as well as
  • daily programme of competition and social events during World Cup week

Daily Programme: The daily programme covers activities during World Cup week 23:29 April 2007. These include match play times of both international and club carnival games; opening and closing ceremonies; social events and other attractions. This programme is subject to change as additional entertainment is confirmed, please check again prior to visiting Morgan Park.

These three social functions will be held in association with the World Cup:

  • The official Civic Reception is an invitation-only event where all national teams are presented. This will be held at the Warwick Town Hall on Thursday 19 April 2007 6-8pm.
  • The Welcome Reception at Morgan Park will be held at 6pm on Sunday 22 April 2007. This informal social function is open to the public. More information will be posted here shortly- please check again.
  • Breakfast with the Stars sponsored by Metalcorp Steel at Morgan Park on Wednesday 25 April 2007 from 7.30am is open to the public and features celebrity guest speakers, former rugby internationals Shane Webcke and Chris "Buddha" Handy. Official Downtown Meeting Place: Because the competition venue (Morgan Park) is located 8.5kms from the town centre, a down town meeting place has been designated for transport pick-up and drop-of. The downtown meeting place is The Palace Hotel which is located at 161 Palmerin Steet (corner Percy Street), Warwick phone (07) 4661 8118. The Palace Hotel is an event sponsor - it offers a range of facilities and is also able to provide a venue for group functions.
