Polocrosse is recognised as a great family sport, enjoying growth in participation from sub-juniors through to Masters.

The organising committee invites registered school groups to attend this spectacular event at no cost, as part of its mission to educate young Australians about the tremendous heritage values of the sport, namely:

  • Polocrosse is one of only three sports invented in Australia (1938)
  • Within Australia the preferred mount for most polocrosse players is the Australian Stock Horse, which derives from bloodstock transported on the First Fleet.
  • Australia hosted the first Polocrosse World Cup in 2003 and is the current world champion.

In association with our school days sponsor McDonalds, complimentary entry is available to pre-reigstered primary and high school groups for the first two days of competition:

  • Monday 23 April 2007
  • Tuesday 24 April 2007

Four international matches will be played on each of these days from 10am and Monday's programme includes the official opening ceremony at 9am. School groups will be provided with an escort and students will receive a free sample bag courtesy of Queensland Sport & Recreation, Ridley AgriProducts, the Australian Stock Horse Society, Dairy Farmers and Queensland Health. To find out what is happening on each of the McSchool Days, view the full daily programme by clicking here.
