When the 2003 Polocrosse World Cup was held in Australia, the media knew little about the sport which was invented in Australia in 1938.

That changed virtually overnight when journalists saw at first hand the speed, skill and action of the competition. The 2003 Cup attracted unprecedented coverage for the sport and this is set to be eclipsed in 2007.

We will aim to accommodate your requirements both prior to the event and on-site. It helps if we have an indication of your interest.

Accreditation Applications: To obtain a media pass, early application is recommended . Click here to open an application.

Communications Centre: To learn more about the services provided to media through the on-site Telstra Communications Centre please click here to be redirected.

Photo Journalists: Our official commercial photographer is Sporting Images Australia who will supply a complimentary same day digital photo service to the media. However media accreditation applications are invited:

  • Press photographers for use in their own publications
  • Freelance photographers to supply media publications, but not for re-sale to the public through their own personal photo galleries nor websites.

A copy of our photographic policy is available here by clicking this link to open a PDF file.

Press Day/Media Launch: To coincide with the official horse draw, the morning of Tuesday 17 April will be open to invited media to preview the event. To attend, please email Michele Cozzi or phone (07 4683 4181.
