In May 2003 two individuals became the first to be inducted into the World Cup Wall of Fame at Morgan Park for their outstanding contributions to Polocrosse.
Mrs Marjory Hirst
Mrs Marjory Hirst and her husband, Edward Hirst, conceived the horse sport of Polocrosse at Ingleburn, Sydney in 1939. She then formed the Polocrosse Association of Australia in 1946. Mrs Hirst was a great Australian with imagination and vision. |

Mr Max Walters A.M. M.B.E.
Player 1945-1962; President of Polocrosse Association of Australia 1966-1998; Foundation President International Council 1976-2003. His guiding hand and selfless determination has seen Polocrosse progress to its current level.

At the 2007 Polocrosse World Cup three Australian polocrosse identities were honoured by induction to the Polocrosse Wall of Fame.
John Thompson, Terry Blake and Joy Poole were described as "more than worthy" to be thus honoured during the ceremony at Warwick Clubhouse on Saturday April 28 2007. They were:
- John Thompson, of Chinchilla (Qld), has been a force in Australian Polocrosse. He played from 1958 to 1978, was Queensland Secretary 1963-1969, Chief Umpire for Queensland 1971-1973; State President 1974-1983, Vice-President of Polocrosse Australia 1970-1997and a Member of the International Polocrosse Council 1976-1997.
- Muswellbrook (NSW) identity Terry Blake has made a lasting impression as a player and admin istrator since 958, as well as the breeder of the famous Rosebrook Performance Horses.
Terry played polocrosse 1958-1991, was Australian Chief Umpire 1975-2000 and President of Hunter Valley 1968- 2006. He was a Member of the Polocrosse Association of Australia Council 1958-2000 and coached the Australian Men¹s Team 1976-1996.
- Current USA World Cup team coach Joy Poole (NSW), the woman credited with winning equal recognition for women in the sport, has a lifetime involvement in polocrosse as player, coach and admin istrator. Joy Poole has helped make polocrosse an international sport. She is currently coach of the USA World Cup team. A player from 1956 to 1999, Joy represented her home-State New South Wales and her country before turning to coaching. She was the first Australian female coach to represent internationally: in New Guinea in 1978;
Indonesia 1983, Zimbabwe 1987, the USA 1998 and New Zealand 2006. Joy Poole coached the Australian Ladies Team 1998-2002 and NSW State Teams 1988-2002. She has coached the USA World Cup teams of 2003 and 2007. A member of the Polocrosse Association of Australia Council for more than 20 years, Joy Poole is currently on the Board of the NSW Polocrosse Assn and the Australian Stock Horse Society. Joywas awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to polocrosse as a player, coach and umpire.
